Hey Doc, I just recalled my speedo angle drive probably needs a new o ring and seal while I am doing everything else. Is this something you can supply or do you have a recommendation where we can find them?

Carl, the seal kit has ALL of the seals in it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bernie, if you are willing to sell those gears I know of many people who want them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bernie,
I am expecting to be helping Jim Hoyland on Thurs or Fri. The best way for me to do your box is if Joe is cool with you bring it over and me doing it there.

Looking at the Red Rocks thread I see that Joe is supposedly going there on the the weekend that the clinic is happening. I am not sure if this will effect my housing and transport, but I sent Joe a PM. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

No. As stated previously, I will only be bringing the parts that were ordered and the order deadline is tomorrow (Wed).

Update: Well its been a long last few days of dealing with the fires. But I wont to thank some of you guys that where so generous in offering to help me evacuate cars and other property as needed. Alls good now and the event is only days away so see you all soon.

We are thinking of having a donation food & BBQ going all day both days so we expect to have drinks and such But BYOB, (I don’t drink) but your more than welcome to. Also there is a POOL so feel free to dive in and to stay cool. Bring your favorite CDs.
My lady also welcomes any of your wife’s or girlfriends to hang out with, as she will be dealing with food on her own. Should be a great event.

Mike,

I was out of town last week and didn't get your post about last day for ordering parts...anyway I'm including several pictures of my gear stack, hopefully won't need any parts although the pinon gear doesn't look so red hot.

WOW! I cant tell much from the pics as far as sliders and such, but your pinion is far beyond gone. I have NEVER seen one that bad. The bearing at the end of the pinion is toast as well. Please tell me this was a donor and not the one you were planning on rebuilding. You need to source a different box to rebuild as that one is done. Sorry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'd like to tell you that it was a donor but it wasn't, it was the one that I was planning on rebuilding...back to square one I guess.

The chance of you finding another in that shape is very slim. Dont feel too bad, there should be some parts that are usable out of it and that will save you $$ in the long run. Someone had to really do some ignoring to make the box end up like that.

When I first got the car I could hardly hear the engine, I drained the oil and was shocked by first, the amount of metal that came out (now I know where from) and second, the viscosity of the oil, must of been about a 10 wt synthetic. I put schaeffers 80-90 wt in and the noise has been slowly going away, at least to the point that I was able to again hear the engine again. But with the amount of metal that came out on that first oil drain I'm not to surprised with the turn of events. Anyway just bought a transmission up in Victorville, hopefully between the two of them I'll have one that is salvageable
