I know of a couple HB gearsets that are available.

Dave, you vulture (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I, too, have an HB gear set for sale. Only one tooth different from the H.

You sell 'em, I'll try to supply them when you run out.

Evil,

Does this look normal??? Would this cause a whine when moving?

Trying to put together any parts that I may need for the clinic!

That flange looks normal for a CV that let go (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) You can find better there and just swap out. As for whining, nope. I am pretty sure we will find some internal bearings that are shot on the output side.

Thanks,

Do I need to replace them or will they work for many more years as they are?

They will be fine as they are, but you can get a set off of a core box for free most likely.

Dude, this event is coming up FAST! Gonna be a short week.

So - my first "job" (besides working in the family hardware and electronics stores) some 40 years ago was as a newspaper reporter. The one thing that is drilled into your head is the "Five W & H" questions that EVERY story must answer.

Maybe this information is buried and scattered about in this thread - but it wold be nice to have it all in one place, don't ya think?

Who: Dr Evil
What: Transmission Rebuild Class
When: December 5th from 10 AM to whenever, December 6'th from whenever till...
Where: Some place in Sonoma???
Why: So we knows how to rebuild the transmission
How: By bringing our own transmission, some tools and brains eager to be filled with knowledge.

So - I think I pretty much have everything down but where.

Yup. All who have paid for a kit will have them. I have the synchro bands that were paid for as well. I have a list of those who paid for parts and who said they would pay at the door. All is good.

I will bring my BBQ. One of the attendees will be bringing some food. But if some people brought a six pack of drinks or a couple burgers/hot dogs just to make sure.

If all else fails, there is a sandwich shop down the street and a pizza place close by.

People who are attending should print off the following image for reference. GPS/MapQuest/Google will not get you to my door. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Most people who come to the shop for the first time turn on Hamblin Rd and I can hear them driving around the industrial park.

True enough. I have done it twice and even got Jim Dupree screwed up after the last autocross while he was towing a trailer none the less! Luckily he could get out of the situation.

Mark put a lean-to sign out by the road that says "Sex Change Clinic Here Today". That should guide this group in! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

A tranny clinic is a tranny clinic.

My GF asked if I was going to wear a tutu and lipstick.
I told her, "Oh hell yea'".

I must be extra learned then since the first time I went, I actually made it into the right driveway...then proceeded to drive around until Mark found me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
