That's used after your 1st gear syncro is shot. Part of the factory HO program.

It for a 911 or 912 . Look where reverse is.

I had seen this after I started production on these, didn't think it was a stock 914, thought it might be a more rare trans. But, 912 makes sense, I thought they were 5 spd.

And just a heads up. Porsche is starting to make the 914 shifter knobs again, I believe they were $200 and some change.

Oh crap unsure.gif

That's not the pattern on a 901 4-speed is it huh.gif

I have a 69 901 4-speed that I'm hoping to turn into a 5 with the guts from a 914 box.... sad.gif

What you are proposing is doable, but its easier to start with the right setup.
Call Jim at Easy in CA, he has quite a few 901 5 speed trannies on the shelf.

A bit closer might be Parker Tyler up in Maine...he may also have a few 5 speeds.

Jim will be more reasonable.

believe it or not that is for a 911 model 72-86 with a four speed 915 style transmission installed. Too bad because we have at least 50 of them on the shelf brand new!!!!!! Will fit any 65-86 911 912 and 914 and look great only to confuse the 914 thieves as they try to shift into what looks like first and stall the car!!!!!!!!!

Why do it the easy way? I like cheap and hard? smile.gif

It's for my bug not the 914.

Is that a 930 transmission shift pattern?
