Full Version: full flow oil plate

I know its tricky getting a full flow oil cover plate to clear on a 914.

What exactly gets in the way, do you have to remove material from the mounts, the case, the car, the crossbar?

Who has BTDT?

Man that's starting to look cool. I'm just guessing but how about the engine mounts.

The engine mount on the left side of the oil pump will have to be hacked up and rewelded.... and a 45 degree fitting added to the pump instead of a straight one.

That engine uses MY DTM, see the mounting plate on top of the case....

Seem like it would be easier to just make a new engine mount bar. I have seen some v8 cars use 1x2 tubing to make mount bars...easier to cut at weld if you still need clearancing, and it might actually come out lighter than the stock bar. However, I donno how that would clash with the race rules in your class.
