Or can i get access to the roll pin on the input shaft from that small cover on the bottom? It seems like the front cover probably needs to come off but I'm not sure.
Also is the seal the same size as as a 901 input shaft?

Input shaft seal=trans removal. Seal comes out the front, and the input shaft would have to be free of the flywheel in order to do it.

Sorry, I mean the shift linkage input shaft on an early style tranny.
