Do a search on this list for poly-graphite bushings and you'll see why they are so cheap. Nobody that is serious about improving their suspension uses them. Also search for poly-bronze and delrin to see better alternatives, and of course more expensive (Porsche priced) options.

This link has some great threads linked to it.

Those bushings come in two hardness ratings. 94A and 70D.

94D (what is commonly sold) is too soft and will deform in a couple of years and squeak.

70D is very, very hard and requires a bit of work with the proper tools to fit your shafts. 70D with gearse zerks is the way to go if you're going that route.

For the front, he doesn't have anything for the 914 rears yet. Same smooth operation as the poly-bronze, however these hold up much better against road grime. Teflon linings are heaps cheaper to replace too.

I used them, removed them, and promptly threw them in the trash. headbang.gif Absolute junk.

The elephant bushings were a little pricey (they came with new shafts and hardware), but were an easy install. They work as advertised. Money well spent.
