Hi all...I'm trouble shooting some Djet issues on my 74 2.0 liter. What will happen if I use a good 1.7 MPS on my 2.0 liter? It holds vacuum so I think it's good....
Cheers

You will have to tune it to your engine. If you deside to do that I can give you some tips. Even at that it will take you more than a mounth of driving to get it right. Oh, I have an 02 meter to read the exhuast with. I bought a rebuilt mps from High Performance House for $175.

Joe Sharp..are you happy with the rebuilt from High Performance House?
175.00 doesn't sound too bad...

Thanks...I am trying to make sure it's the MPS. I think the only way to know for sure is to try a good one. True?

This may be a long shot, but check to see if the cyl 3 ignition wire is anywhere near the MPS.

That can make all kinds of hell for you.

It did for my DJet. Take off, idle, all kinds of things.

Route it under the throttle body pipes as far away from the MPS as possible.

Maybe a help?

Hope so!

Mike: It worked fine. I used it on a souped up 2L, thats when I learned to tune it.
Jeff Bowlsby is also a good source.
