Hi all...

What size wrench for the lower shock bolt? I don't have one big enough and have to go buy one.Car is a 74 914,2.0 liter.

6 months ago, I could have told you. But the 914 I work on is about 70 miles away at the moment.

It's a 27mm on both sides. I use the 27mm wrench on the nut and an adjustable wrench on the bolt. Nothing wrong with adjustable wrenches if you use them correctly. They get a bad wrap because people use them for things they shouldn't.

A 1-1/16" will also work just fine.

A 1-1/16" will also work just fine.

agree.gif I use a 1 1/16 socket on the outside and big crescent on the inside. Why? Cause thats what i have! beer.gif
