Don't forget the hole in the bottom so the grease can drip out (kind of like a real 914 biggrin.gif ).

Are those hinges shot Kevin? I could get some Camp 914 trunk shocks headed that way if needed.
majkos
The grease is protecting the trunk against rust!

Alum foil will have too do for now.

Yes the trunk spring are on their last leg
you have a set of shocks?
maybe we can install them at Red Rock
Gint
Looks like it'll burn some meat! Nice job. smilie_pokal.gif

I don't think they'd take the heat. Of course that white paint probably won't either. smile.gif

Well don't close the trunk with the grille on because the shocks are on their way! blink.gif beerchug.gif

This is making RRC so much more exciting! I can't wait to see this!!!

Interested seeing this cooler Kev.

How about sealing the engine compartment and lining it with styrofoam and adding a petcock on the bottom to drain? Might be easier that way.

Me and Mike Pieper are looking at another design
Garold design doesn't show what's keeping the reciever hitch connected to the trunk floor.
Attach to trans. cross bar?

Looking for more info or pics of Garold reciever hitch set-up
need to figure out what materials I'll need.
Sleepin

I actually like the removable one Jeff Bowlsby posted on that thread.
majkos
agree.gif
I like Bowlsby set-up too
but that looks time consuming to make

I now see how Garold works
he has a plate there with a notch for the reciever to be weld in.
on top of trunk floor.

And two bolt holes on either side to screw in eye bolts for the safety chains.

Great project, Kev.

One word of advise, you need to put the external CV hubs, nuts and cotter pins in the rear bearings to keep the rear wheels from coming off wink.gif
majkos
OH REALLY!?

Thanks!
