Don't forget the hole in the bottom so the grease can drip out (kind of like a real 914 ).

Are those hinges shot Kevin? I could get some Camp 914 trunk shocks headed that way if needed.

The grease is protecting the trunk against rust!

Alum foil will have too do for now.

I don't think they'd take the heat. Of course that white paint probably won't either.

Well don't close the trunk with the grille on because the shocks are on their way!

How about sealing the engine compartment and lining it with styrofoam and adding a petcock on the bottom to drain? Might be easier that way.

I actually like the removable one Jeff Bowlsby posted on that thread.

I like Bowlsby set-up too
but that looks time consuming to make

I now see how Garold works
he has a plate there with a notch for the reciever to be weld in.
on top of trunk floor.

And two bolt holes on either side to screw in eye bolts for the safety chains.

One word of advise, you need to put the external CV hubs, nuts and cotter pins in the rear bearings to keep the rear wheels from coming off

get everything back to close to stock
