I plan on leaving Riverslime about 3 PM at the latest on Thur Sep 9th. Plan is to make Mesquite, NV sometime that nite. I have a room booked at the Virgin River Resort ( $25.00 + tax greed) to break the trip to Moab. Mileage is 319 miles

Plan on departing Mesquite about 7 AM on the 10th (after breakfast) to make Moab about 2 - 3 PM in the afternoon. Mileage is 378 miles.

I only stop to pee and get gas. If someone is whining, I may stop for a quick fast food snack ... none of those leisurely hour lunches for me.

If you want to join me ... bring a rope to tow me as /6s are really unreliable.

Don't need a /6 - I did 126 mph (downhill) on I-15 through the Virgin River Gorge at midnight-ish in my 73 914-2.0 one Sept. back in the day, on my way to a Rugby Tournament in Park City!

It's kinda nice on a 700 mile trek to have a few within cell range. There is usually a problem somewhere that requires attention. Hopefully not though.

Well if you are coming across I-40, through Flagstaff, Mike & I will be leaving Friday morning. Our route takes us to Tuba City, Kayenta, Monument Valley, then North to Moab.

If it helps I can leave later so people can have more time, doesnt really matter to me.

Would be glad to meet with you guys. You would have to go through Flagstaff then up from there. I would think that adds to your drive. However, iffin you decide to do so, we are leaving Thursday going up through Flagstaff and staying Thursday night in Kayenta. We'll leave there Friday morning. Hopefully Ernie and Mike get out of Flagstaff early and head up with us!

Hey Rick, thx. We can meet at the Murrieta Hot Springs exit on IH 15. It will be the first exit past the 79N / Winchester Rd. exit. Turn right on Murrieta Hot Spgs then immediatly on the right is a gas/convenience store (may be an AM/PM, not sure) You can't miss it. I'll be in the parking lot. In case there are more 914's, I'll be in the white one. Llamame "sal y pimienta". 1:00pm ?
