Any procedure on putting this in a '74, 914 2.0L?

Soak the old one in PB blaster for days before you try and remove it.

A lot of us took a long 13mm socket and dremeled out a channel so the wire can avoid getting squashed.

I have removed and installed 3 lately, so I removed the injector connectors from the injectors, took off the injector pipes completely, then had all the room I needed to remove the rubber grommet and install the CHTS with nothing in the way.

I then put the stuff back, and it took 10 minutes. Even in 100 degree heat.

I also removed the deceleration valve and the MPS first. Makes for easy access.

I ground a notch in an extension to fit the wire through then you can save your 13mm!

Are we talking fuel inject CHT? Or aftermarket dash gauge CHT?

I did this too, about half-way up a long-sleeve 13mm just cut out a notch and slipped the wire through.

Sounds like they're talking about stock temp sensor

aftermarkets are way to easy to install
