Phoned local Discount Import Parts & they have a GEMO or NEMO (how ever the spelling!) for $14. The guy said it's from Italy or from Spain
Heard the other one on the Bird is too long & costs $38......
Think it's OK to buy from the FLAPS?

I showed Mike (Mike's 914, local shop) the Gemo and he said that's the good one. I said that I heard the Terry cable, that some shop's sell for more, is suppost to be better and he said they suck.
I have put many Gemo cables in bugs for years and I've never heard of one breaking yet.

Buy it, pull out the old one, and compare the two. If it doens't look like it will work, return it. I know that my FLAPS will take back damn near anything. I once bought a thermostat for my Escort, but it didn't quite fit. I totally destroyed it trying to get it out, but they still took it back.

Bruce, I used gemo's as well. I do recall there are 2 diameter's of cable. Seems like the bigger one would take more abuse. Take the old one with ya and compare the length and amount of threads.

Cool

can't beat a $14 part! especially for a 914. They even have a clutch alignment tool for $2. I'm in Fat City
