Done a bunch of searches to find the name of the firm that makes gears for 914 transmissions, but can't find the posting.

Anyone remember the name of the company.

Thanks.

I don't think they sell direct
but I remember carquipt has had them make 904shafts, etc in the past
If you only want the name you might call tom at carquipt?

I bought a 10:31 ring and pinion set from California Motorsports that was made by that company. I think the name is Albins or something close to that.

Just so happens that I live in the same city they are based in
I did work experience there back in high school and it is a really neat setup

I heard back from Albinsgear on the 904 mainshafts.

Price per shaft is – AUD$1225.50 or about $1,240 US.

Distributor in the USA is California Motorsports (roger@californiamotorsports.net).

Last company to buy a bunch of the shafts was Carqiup, who might have some.

I'll have to check with these companies to find out what gears they have in stock and the pricing.

As I understand it, Carquip has bought Gaurd. There is a guy over on Pelican....Matt Monsen(sp?) who is involved in some capacity.

Matt (at Guard) is the guy who sold me my new differential.

As soon as I run the car on the dyno I'll be making decisions on the gears. I'll likely be changing second gear and possibly third. Have to see the dyno run first to know which.

Problem is that first is only good to heat up the tires and shift to second. Stock second is a bit short, but I was only running to 6K. My third is an M, but that might need to change depending upon the dyno run as well.
