914 shifter
new car has dual weber 40 idf. the area the car came from is 1600 ft in altitude
i am at or close to sea level. car runs well and i am in the process of educating
myself on the webers. specific jets for sea level ? etc.

If they were jetted for 1600ft you might want to up the jet size as it would be running a bit lean at sea level.

Find someone with a exhaust sniffer or read the plugs to see if you are indeed running too lean.

What do you have for Jets now?
I have found a simple way to do this.
Call Aircooled.net...
They have a spreadsheet that has known good setups for specific locations and altitudes.
You need to know your engine size...that is about it.

They sell all the jets and venturis and emulsion tubes...so they make suggestions that work for you...or they will swap them out until you are happy...
