I was really not happy with the illumination on the gauges, even with new bulbs and excellent electric current, so I took the plunge and got Al to do LED's in white but not really hot bulbs.
The old bulbs for indicatiors stay, but the backlight illumination is SENSATIONAL!
I will post a picture tonight or tomorrow night.
Best advice is to take pictures of each gauge BEFORE removing the wiring to be sure. Each harness is a little different. We had my car, and Cooper Boggs has 2 73 2.0L and 1 72 1.7 harnesses there, and all 4 had variations. No kidding. Really, they sometimes used different colors for the permanent power. It varied, and there was a capacitor on the tach that had different solutions right from the factory.
But, the gauges look killer! And Al fixed my clock too!
WOOHOO!
Thanks, Al!
