I bought a distributor a couple weeks ago hoping to at least use it for parts. I bought it for $.01 and the shipping and handling was about $10. The guy had good feedback on about 150 items.
Well I sent money right away. Never got a response. I sent several emails and finally had to start a claim through ebay. I finally got my money back the other day, but I would have sure liked my $10.01 distributor...

Ok, now it's time for the "why can't we all get along" speech, for what its worth:
I'm not impressed by that vendor and any seller that doesn't do right deserves public criticism. The evidence of ebay ahabbiness is irrefutable and its good that someone is calling the miscreant to account. I am a little put off, however, about the tone of the criticism I've seen here and in other threads. Its over the top.
I have purchased a few things from that vendor that I couldn't find anywhere else. Moreover, I cannot forget that the market for 914 parts and accessories is closed -- they are not making the cars anymore -- so I am in favor of having as many vendors as possible selling the stuff, even the not-so-savory one's. Merchandise is a funny business and there is a critical mass of suppliers just as there is of customer. It may also be that he is serving a useful purpose in our 914world, even if it is only to be a negative example for all the reputable vendors.
Besides, I believe that operation supports this one through advertising.
Can't we tone it down, just a notch, on that person?

There is this little item thou', called truth in advertising. One would think that as a vendor, they would at least try to be in the same book let alone in the same chapter of truth. And I just made a purchase, now I worry.

"Tone it down a notch"? Why bother? It's so much easier to sit behind your keyboard and rip someone. It's not like you're actually face to face and in danger of actually talking to a live person who might argue back with an immediate response to your criticisms, accusations and remarks.

I don't mean to bash but for these items to be put for sale by AA is unforgivable. It's ok if you call something junk and sell it as junk, but it's not ok to call stuff good when it obviously is not.
I buy stuff here because sellers call it like it is. If a bumper has a dent, they take a pic of it and say it is so. If something is good, they say it and charge for it.
The worst part is basically that AA is one of the two main 914 new parts suppliers in the US along with PP. If some private dude was selling this junk, that's one thing; but for AA to be selling it and calling it good is unbelievable.

Think about it this way, kids. The first post wasn't even negative, it was just a link to an ebay add. In my opinion, it says something about your person/business practices when, at the very sight of your ebay user name, you have former buyers up in arms.
There comes a point when you have pissed off enough people, that it's no longer 'shit talking' or 'bashing' it's simply the truth.
