Show us pics of the oil tank ( I see it sitting on the shelf)

This is why you are supposed to freshen them every 40 hours...

What was this one revved too ?

Brad Roberts
Show us the head also. I'm betting there was some serious carnage when the piston smacked the head a few times..

Has Porsche Motorsports released parts to you guy's for the rebuild ??

B
TimT
Brad, this one was just refreshed..with parts from Porsche Motorsports...

oh the case is toast, the rod windmilled and cut through the main oil passage.... the oil tanks gonna get a nice ultrasonic bath...

Ive never seen a crank break like this..Ive seen the two piece failure before, not three pieces LOL

B
TimT
oh the car drove part of a lap on 5 cylinders LOL..

cant read the bearings at all.. who know what kind of forces the engine saw AFTER the break while it was still running...

Paul I think crate motors from Porsche Motorsports are like $85000.... rebuilding this will be pretty damn close to that
TimT
Brad the car came to us like this, we like the Dow 730 for the cases
Brad Roberts
Freshens are upwards of 45k depending on if it arrives at their door in a running condition or not.

Yep. I like using the 730 myself (now)
