Engine grill letters were US only. Car was marketed as a VW Porsche ROW

Round mirror was off the 911. Notice TWO DIFFERENT locations in the pictures. One is in the regular location, the other one is mounted ala 911 on the door frame edge

The 8 has the quad lights and an orangish rug and seat inserts.

The black and white photos are of a prototype /4 that had the gas filler cap mounted on the passenger side cowl. Clearer pics can be found in Oct '69 Christophorus. This is just one of at least 3 studies Porsche did before deciding on the "under the bonnet" filler approach.

Not a fan of the quad-headlight design, the weird bumper tops, errors and especially the rounded front fenders. Thank goodness our regular productions cars don't look like that.
And yeah, yeah all due reverence to the 914-8.

Sooooo. . Pontiac made a 4 cyl by cutting a 389 in half, could someone make a flat 8 by using two 4 cyl cases and moving from there somehow?
