My recently acquired 1976 has a carb and I am buying a FI system from another member to convert it back. I understand that the 1976 distributor has a plug. I looked at the one in my car and don't see it. I may not be looking in the right place. Anyone have a picture so I know what I am looking for? beerchug.gif

Is it a 2.0 or 1.8? The 1.8 used L-Jet and doesn't have the trigger points in the distributor. The 2.0 used D-Jet and does. Both had a big, round, silver vacuum canister on the side. To really be 100% correct, you need to look at the part number on the side.

If the "plug" he was asking about is for the injection trigger points, I would think he would want to see the other side of the distributor.

Prior owner most likely ditched the F.I. Dizzy for for a 009 carb model or similar, common with conversions. Any 2.0 stock dizzy will work just fine. FYI, I backdated my 1976 F.I. to 1974 ECU and runs much better overall than original. If the injection you are buying is from a 1973, make it is ALL there !! It is a unique one year only combination and the head sensor (017) is very near or flat out unobtainable. The 74 combo is by far best.

Crab & bitch, whine & cry .... jeeeeeeeezzzzus ... it was the only pic I had stored.

Next time I will stop work, clean a part, take multiple images, photoshop all the salient features with circles, arrows and explanations. I refuse to bring up the garbage.

Officer Obie was able to find them.
