There is a bit of wiggle room when you bolt the struts to the chassis, is there a certain way to get it close enough to be able to drive it to an alignment shop?

Also I cant find any torque values for the the three bolts on the strut top, the larger top strut bolt or the ball joint pin nut does anyone have these handy?

I swapped struts so I could run new brakes and 5x130mm wheels
I had to remove the top bolt to use the stock strut mount because the welds on the underside nuts from the donor had broken loose.

I changed from stock to 911 type

..a little confoozed.

u should have only had to unbolt the 22mm but at the top of the fenderwell to change out struts.


1 nut at the top surounded by the 3 allen head screws....

I removed the whole strut mount to use the newer ones from the donor but when I got to the point of installing them I realized the ones I had planned to use were unusable. At that point I swapped the tops for the stock ones.

Scary. I hope the struts are not bent...

Just stick them in the middle of the 3 holes.

It will get you where you need to go (alignment shop)

Me too.

Has anyone encountered the bolts on the underside breaking free? It looks like they were just spot welded to the tops.

This normally means the strut took a serious hit.
