Kid has size 13 feet, so pedals got way more adjustable, I always run one wiper, so might as well mount it in the middle and add a longer blade.

Wow, you have done a bunch of great improvements on that car. I built that car in of all places Midland Texas. Took me a long time to get done (and I had a bunch of help with the motor and transmission). I wish I could say I knew what I was doing but it was a lot of trial and effort. I was most proud of the stance. The car looks just right to me (not sure I like my boxed rockers now that some time has passed - they were hand formed just like the mods on the front spoiler).
Kevin (I sold it to him in 05 or 06) did a great job of finishing the interior and sorting out the shifter. My daughter picked out the color (we tried to match the lime green from the 1974 RSR IROC cars).
You are right the car was too loud. It did sound freakin awesome at the top of the RPM range. I compare the sound to the "in car" sounds from the movie Le Mans.
It is great to see the car again. Yes I wanted to buy it back from Kevin but I am currently in the middle of two restorations (1974 2.0 and original 914-6) so no funds. I would have loved to get it back but you know how that stuff goes...
I did mention that I thought it would be cool to put a LS6 w/ 930 transaxle.

Mar 31 2012, 08:01 PM
Did Kevin show you the reinforced plate behind the front bumper where a stock tow eye will screw in? I set it up that way so I could use a winch to load it on the trailer (no access to the underside of the car of course).
Tons of custom stuff done and lots of fun learning to do it. I sold it to Kevin when a friend of mine offered up a 1988 930 for stupid money (ready for this... $22k) that was fouling plugs at an alarming rate. A little detective work and a few bucks spent on different plug wires (crank fire did not like the plugs it was running) and I sold it for a profit. Not often am I able to make money on a car.
Enjoy the car and you never know, if you want to sell it please give me a shot at it first.

Ive been driving it almost everyday, and only once or twice I only got one comment about how outrages it is. You gave it great bones David, My kid grinns ear to ear. his golf has power brakes and he is well, spoiled by it , hence the pedal change.
Christopher and I are proud to carry on with GRNMNE, He goes to driving school in April at the ridge a new road course up here.
