I have aquired a 914 shell from a great 914 world member last summer. After piecing this car back together, I have runned into a potential problem in regards of putting the rear trailing arm shims back in.

On the driver side, I have the Brad Mayeur chassis kit installed along the long. However, nothing on the passenger side.

Since the added thickness of this chassis kit on the driver side, which I believe to be around 1/8" thickness, do I add shims on the driver side. What about the passenger side, would I double up on shims? (being that there isnt' a chassis stiffener on that side). I'm confused on how many to put where, as this chassis kit only adds another variable to this whole mess. confused24.gif

Why isn't the kit installed on both sides?

Not sure, maybe the po couldn't afford both left and right sides?

The purpose of the shim is to set the camber and an alignment is the only correct way to determine the thickness.
