I'm working on my MegaSquirt conversion and need some information. I'm going to use the 2.0 intake plenum on my 1.7.

Can I use the 2.o intake runners and just drill for the 4 bolt pattern?

Anyone?

Thanks

you'll have to drill them; 2L and 1.7L runners are different diameter and length so no mix and match

Anyone know what the OD is on the 2.0 intake runners?

falcon,

OD on 2.0 runners is just over 1.5" (39mm) - that's measured w/o my glasses but with a calipers.

IIRC the 2.0 runners should be larger OD (and ID) than the 1.7. Here's a link to my 2.0 MS conversion specs.

Thanks,

that should work for a 1.5 coupler with some HD hose clamps used for turbo couplers.

Why not just use 1.7 injection parts on your 1.7?

I'm gonna upgrade the motor in the future and plan to use 3 bolt heads if I can find them. I also think the 2.0 plenum has better flow and it is also better suited to installing an upgraded IAT sensor along with a IAC valve to run MegaSquirt. The TB is not that much bigger and the larger flat fours usually bore out the 2.0 TB for performance running.

I should also be able to utilize the 1.7 wiring harness and sensors to work on the 2.0 intake system mounted on a 1.7, in theory.
