I've got the new weltmeister plastic bushings to go onto the front bar I'm installing. There is no effin' way they will go over the square ends of the bar. Can I split 1/2 of it so it will slide over the bar? I mean, I know I can, but is it ok to do it?

thats how you do it....but I hear KY Silky works pretty good too though

I though maybe the KY warming gel could help

I just put those in mine. I talked to Brad Mayuer (sorry brad, couldn't remember how to spell your last name if I bungled it) and he said you split them just like the rear mount bushings. Put some slick grease on the inside just like the rears and you are good to go.

I just slit mine with my utility blad and had them on and in within 5 minutes. The other way..forget it!
