Gotta be a scam. There's no way somebody would sell a 996 turbo for that. Have you seen the same ebay add anywhere else?

Maybe they missed a "0" zero in the price?

$8000 mentioned more than once and the car is in Australia. 2900 miles.

This looks to be one of those "perceived value" issues -- $8000

The seller is out of Australia, and it seems like he sold mostly clothes previous to this. I have a feeling it's a hijacked account. I sent the seller an email asking why it's so cheap. Should get an interesting answer.

Oddly he seems to be in Australia, since most of his recent auctions sold in AU$, but the ".es" email country code is for Spain!

A car that has theoretically been inspected in the US (squaretrade and location).

A solid ebay account from Austrailia, probably hijacked.

A free email address in Spain.

An advertised "Buy It Now" without the option to (could not be there because of pre-approval, but I don't think so).




In my ebaying most of the people who want pre-approval are just checking to see if you're gullible enough!

Is this one of those cases where this guy really wants this car so he claims ownership? Im thinking of brad's -6... This would be like "legal owner" trying to sell brad's car.

I've seen cayennes go for 45 bucks, and twin turbo sbc's go for 50 cents....

I emailed one similar to this a while ago for fun, never could get anywhere with it. it was a 996TT for $30k or something.

and no mere 996TT - that's a GT2 ...

here is an email response on this car. The email it came from is the same as on the picture and I sent the email through ebay.

I got the exact same reply when I emailed the seller. A scam for sure. Must have been a hijaked account.

"Escrow" fraud.

Pay the intermediate company the $8k... all of a sudden, you're $8k short and no such company exists.

I traced the ip addresses and the originating IP is European Yahoo UK which received the message from AOL.
This is an AOL user that is running through European Yahoo.
