I am thinking of adding an aux Oilcooler. Also thinking of switching to a remote mount oil filter, hopefully in an easier place to get to it. Is there any danger in mounting the filter too high? Would it possibly air-lock, and not allow the flow of oil?

Shouldn't ... it's pressurized.
