I've decided to use an old dist. for adjusting trigger points. Does anyone know what the gap should be?

They're not like ignition points. There isn't a gap AFAIK because the duration is >180 degrees, any variation in gap would insignificantly affect the overall duration. As long as they open and close correctly, the gap is irrelevant.
