Will those Carrera Rears ($279-$199) match my Front Calipers you are redoing?
mepstein
Interested in early 914-4 f&r. What is "b" stock exactly?
Eric_Shea
@TC - Depends - do you want/need a 24mm piece of rotating mass back there? Plenty of 911 (20mm rotor) stuff on that list.

@Mark - bStock is blemished but otherwise "exactly" as we would sell it otherwise. So, internals are perfect, new seal kits etc. Warranted, the works.
moldygreg
Will take the 914 late front b stock if still available.
Order via website or just pm for info?

Thanks
Greg

PM the info and call in the morning. 855-STOP-101 (855-786-7101).

I'll mark them off the list.

Then just pick what you think would work best & put them aside for me!
r_towle
rear 5 lug rotors, rear 5 lug stub axles, front 5 lug rotors?
Rear bearings.

How much?
PM me please, I rarely come in here.

Good to see you again at Hershey, though you did look like crap that morning smile.gif

BMW Front $279.00 $199.00 1 29%

yes what does the "1" represent a pair or a single caliper?
B2524
The BMW calipers came

No bleeder screws

No pad pins

No pad sping clips

=:-(

At least they were bolted together with what looks like used bolts.

Not Eric's best work.

What did you pay for those? There was no core charge ($100 savings) and an $80.00 discount. $180.00 savings

These are core calipers.... They do not come with springs and pins etc. All of the fasteners on these calipers have to be reused as they are NLA. M7 and M9 hardware, especially with specialty fasteners, can not be found. We replate every NLA fastener with black zinc and they go through the proper process for en-brittlement We do this for every caliper we build. Always have, probably always will. I put those together personally. Can you show a picture of what is wrong with your fasteners? I hand picked the nicest BMW fastener set we had. They looked damned good when I put them in.

Bottom line. Send them back if you are not happy. Ill pay the shipping and give you all of your money back. I don't need anyone bad mouthing my work online without contacting me first.
Eric_Shea
Again, I had another question about pad kits and bleeders.

We do not supply pad kits with our restorations. For 914 rear caliper they are essentially NLA. If you send your kits in with your restoration job we will plate them for free and return them with your purchase. If you do not, we cannot send kits that do not exist.

Other pad kits and bleeders (BMW 320i as an example) can be purchased for around $14.00 total from places like RockAuto. We sell bleeders for $3.00 each

S-Caliper pad kits are $79.95
Rear M-Caliper kits a $32.95
Pelican has 914 rear springs (but no pins). I believe the springs a around $12.00 each

Hoping this is clear and understandable.

1 pair without bleeders pins and springs sadly enough. We also don't include pads, fluid and installation with the 43% discount. sad.gif
Mr. Olympic Blue 2 You
Eric- I wanted to say the 4 calipers for my 911 and front set for the 914 arrived safe and sound and I couldn't be happier!

I'll be getting another order together for the rears and some other misc shortly.

Thanks for the time answering my questions and for the killer deal.

Andrew

Some education...please.

I assume that to use a 911 caliper on the front you would need a 911 front suspension (strut and such)?

How about for the rears? Will a 911 rear caliper fit a 914-4 rear suspension "as is"?

Yes Sir... Kinda Sir. blink.gif

OK, let's start with the front. 911 Calipers will fit the front of a 914 if you take the spacers out; 911 M-Caliper's that is. You would also have to have an early strut or purchase an early rotor to go with it. That's the offset. Problem? Well, it's the same size pad as a 914, just a bigger piston so, you'd want to change the MC to a 19mm and you really wouldn't gain anything other than moving your proper bias a little more toward the front (better than moving it to the back by installing a larger piston back there).

Rears... same thing. No spacers in a 911 caliper and it bolts right on. Keep the spacers and you need to add a vented 911 rear rotor and space the calipers back by about 4.5-5mm (dust shield/no dust shield) and you'll want longer bolts (that we stock) because the stock mounting bolts will only be threaded on by 3-4 threads. Read above though. Getting a heavier rear bias and doing nothing up front is a recipe for disaster in a 914. Using 48mm pistons up front? (Brembo, 911, BMW) and you should have a 38mm piston in the rear (911, 914-6). Stock 42mm up front = stock 33mm in the rear.

Hope that helps the world!

Thank you for the education!
