Looking to weld on an outboard bracket for an extra bushing instead of the bolt on routine.Thanks.

I've always assumed it's mag and doubt Porsche would have introduced bi-metallic corrosion otherwise. But I've been wrong once or twice.

Weld it anyway... Either nothing will happen or you will have a spectacular light show (make sure to pour water on it for more effect)...

Weldable. I have extra brackets on mine. Even the mag case is weld able if your good. I have custom machine work and welding on my case also.

Can you file some off and put a little flame to the filings?
