What do you think of these? I made them from a big hunk of billit aluminum. Center hole is same thickness as a stock tranny mount. Anybody want to take bets on dragging the transmission on the ground? Just kidding, I'm not sure if I trust myself. I guess I could install them then drive around a bit and see if anything is cracking...

They look similar to the units HPH sells, nothing fancy, but they work wink.gif

Ideally, you'd want to have a radius in the corners, less likely to crack, but I don't think you'll ever have that problem with those !!!!!

Good job mueba.gif

Thanks for the feed back. guess I'm on the right track.

BTW, materials cost nothing, It was scrap billit from where a friend works.

You can buy scrap from recyclers for a few bucks per pound.

eBay has some good deals on scrap 6061 aluminum as well.

I'd say those are less than 5 bucks each in material.

Cracking ??? Dont worry. They looks very strong and nice.

Do you have Bidgeport or something like that in your home garage or do you work somewhere where you can use one ??
