Dad's having surgery this morning. They have to do a biopsy on his lungs. The info from this will get him onto the Lung Donor Transplant list.
Some of you have met him at the Fall Foliage Classic and last year's Fall Foliage Run. His health has gone downhill very fast. He is now on oxygen
where ever he goes, even in the house.
Please, if you can say a prayer for him today.
Thanks a bunch,
sean

Hang in there Sean. I feel your uncertainty. My dad goes in for surgery tomorrow. They found a malignant tumor last week and now they need to find out how far things have spread.
Best wishes for your dad.

Hi Sean,
I don't pray, but I am an organ donor. I hope your father will be OK, and that there are some good lungs available for him when the time comes. Hope and life from someone else's loss can be a powerful thing for everyone involved. I lost both my parents recently. One was a heavy smoker, and one was not. Both had lung disease, but were too old for that kind of surgery. They lived long lives anyway...78 and 83. I'll be thinking about you and your dad. Hang in there.
Paul, I hope your father will get good news.

I will say some prayers for him and I will also ask my grandmother to say a few as well. She seems to say a lot of them for other people and good things seem to happen when she says them! Maybe she has connections!
My thoughts go out to him as well as you and your family.

Sean, I am so sorry to read about your father. I had always pictured him as a gearhead still trying to get that 32 highboy roadster built, searching out just the right parts. Im praying that he will get that car built and on the road.

Thanks All of you, more than you'll ever know.
Dad is out of surgery, it went fairly quick and it had no complications.
He's on some great medication and he is very funny right now.
Hopefully it's just a day or two in the hospital and then he can come home.
The doctor told us that with the info he has gathered already he'll be able
to get on the transplant list. My mother told me about a friend of a friend
who also had Pulmonary Fibrosis and got a double lung transplant and is
doing very well now. That helps me feel a bit better.
Thanks again to all of you.
Hang in there Paul! I know how you're feeling right now. My thoughts and prayers are
with your father and your family, too.
