I heard this can be done but have not tried it. The differences are that the 924 switch has ony one rider for the horn and has the 4 and 5th wires swapped in the loom. I do not think this matters as those two are bridged when the left turn signal is applied.
Any body tried It?

I bought a 924 switch and installed it about 9 years ago. It works great but I can't remember what I had to do. I seem to recall trimming some of the plastic wire channels off that weren't needed or didn't fit. It took a little work but it eventually fit. I realize I'm not much help here but it WILL work.
Cheers, Elliot

Karl,
Thanks but that is for the wiper switch not the turn signal switch.

Elliot,

The connector seems to be the same on the one I have.
But if you did it I guess it works.

Yes you can... certain years.

According to Jeff Bowlsby's spreadsheet

https://bowlsby.net/914/Classic/zTN_Gen_914...Interchange.xls

It shows...

And if you have a copy of Hussey's "Tech Tip 700", there's info about it in there.

Chris H.
Just FYI that book says the 1975-76 switches do not interchange with any other year 914 but are a direct swap for 1977-81 924's. Don't see any other notations for other years related to the 924 switch. Something else I didn't know!

Sorry Bruce. I think mine was a wiper switch as well. DOH!! I haven't been drinking scotch, I just can't remember much from 9 years ago.
