Hey,

So, let's assume that hooking up the battery and using the switch is NOT an option,
what is the easiest way to open the headlights?

Thanks

To pop them up, I think you can just turn the round disc shaped knob on the back of the motor, and they will cycle up, and down.

but dont turn the knob on the back of the motor with the battery connected....

IF you want to keep all of your fingers :-)

Pull the relay and turn the knob (I think that's how it works)

I like my fingers, but the battery is completely disconnected. . so I think I'm safe.

The knob won't cut your fingers. the headlight metal cover will if it closes on them. that's why you should always use the rubber plugs to hold the metal brow in front of the headlight. the rubber is supposed to give before the bones in your fingers.

If the battery is connected and you turn the knob on the headlights, it goes up, and up, and up, until some contact closes and then the headlight closes abruptly under power.

I dont know if they are supposed to do that, but mine did and surprised me.

I have some. They use a left hand thread so not easy to find a substitute.
