No clue, looks homemade.

Could it have been used as a shim for the rear trailing arm?

The holes are from two spotwelds I drilled out, its not very big, about 40x10 mm's.
I just cant for the life of me remember where it was on the body.

Slotted brace for the engine lid??

Looks like the center brace for the rear bumper rubber.

Appears to be similar to something a DAPO put on mine to hold the engine lid hinge support bracket into position.

Yup. Can't imagine why you'd take it off.

It fouled my rotiserie cross beam....

I'll weld it back once the car is back on jackstands again.

I damned near blew mine off with a hand grenade the 5th time I wounded myself on it. I finally taped some insulation around it.

Funny thing, I just taped mine up after hooking myself on it a bunch of times going around the back of the car.

Anyone with the rear bumper off their car that can measure how far it sticks out from the body?
