So my ad in the classifieds generated a lot of interest so I'm having a bunch more cut out for those interested. I made a special wrench that makes changing out tie rods a breeze. One end fits a stock inner tie rod retaining nut and the other fits the end of a turbo tie rod. No more vice grips, channel locks, big screwdrivers, etc. when converting over. These wrench are laser cut out of steel and will come bare. Cost is $26 shipped conus.

If you responded to the ad in the classifieds then I already have your name on the list. Once I get these wrenches in stock I will PM those interested with payment details.

Update 8/12: All wrenches from the first batch have shipped. If you have not received a message yet on payment details then you are in the second batch. Expected Shipment of second batch is the week of 8/11.

Update 8/14: Second batch is in! PMs are going out!

Update 9/3: All wrenches have shipped. Group buy completed.

This is something you should make in lots of 100 or so because even after this first run, more people will want them over time. Then you'll need more lots. smile.gif

Are these CNC or waterjet cut?

These are cut out on a CNC Laser and luckily it's not too difficult to cut out more batches. smile.gif

I'll take one. It will get less use than even Cap'n Krusty's! But...
Gotta have it!

..... Euro says:

"Hold on, I say hold on there, son"

That would drive the price up, and 914 owners are by nature ... cheap SOBs laugh.gif

If not, we'd all be driving more expensive cars shades.gif

Anyway, these wrenches can also be used on 911s and 912s idea.gif

Bingo!

You also brought up my next question... If 911s in fact use the same inner tie rod retaining nut.
euro911
Hmmm ... good question. I've never had to change the tie rods on any of them (yet). I'll have to check it out.

Also, I don't know if the 'turbo' tie rod upgrade uses the same wrench (yet).

At this point I'm going to say yes, but maybe Krusty will chime in with the truth.

(Why isn't there a curmudgeon smiley)?
colingreene
Ill take one.

Two for me.

Well, in the original post he says that's what the tool is for. What, you think he's just makin' it up? And, FWIW, of course 914 tie rods and 911 tie rods use the same fasteners, they're the SAME part ..................... Whaddya think the "turbo tie rods" originally fit? 914 Turbos"?

These statements are null and void if the seller is a politician.

Krusty enough for you?
