Here's a pretty simple way to flare your steel rockers. They come out pretty nice.
13 pictures to follow:
Start by marking a line on the rockers that matches the flare on the car:

This is EXACTLY why I'm making up steel rocker panel shapes with blank ends. $45.00 each side.

Joe, Good job. Your car looks great and is coming along very nicely.
Thread Hijack!
Joe, I know you've described your wheel/tire combo before, but I can't seem to find the thread. Could you please describe the wheel size, tire size, and spacer size you've used? Thanks.

Very nice, Joe tell me about "your little freind", model, size, etc. Did you do all or most of the welding on your car with it?

I did all the welding on 914RS with the welder which was previously pictured.
It's a Lincoln TIG Squarewave Pro-175. Purchased online for around $1400(delivered) + $150 for the argon bottle (150 cu. ft), $50 to fill it, $150 for an auto darkening helmet and a few other pieces here and there.
I can weld steel, aluminum and stainless with it and it's probably my favorite tool EVER.
