Looking at this little beauty this week. 53 chev, inline 6 powerglide, retored in 80s. Stored heated garage.

hey! i had a 53 chev w/ the 235 straight six, decent enough car. I converted it to 12v and ended up trading it to a friend of mine who made it his and his fathers project car, shaving all chrome off and welding the hoods together.

Hey My Grandfather had one of those! He never sold it, drove it until they took away his license. A true classic IMHO dude but needs a 348 in it.

My Grandfather had one too. For some reason the grandkids put pennies in the dashboard slots which caused a constant rattle. The only reason I can think of was to rattle Grandpa, which we did quite often to him and he to us. Why I remember that I don't know.

That is funny! I used to work at a car stereo shop/AV Repair place. Part of the repair process was to tape a baggie with the defective part on the unit when it was all fixed up. Pop tarts and Ritz crackers in the VCRs were most common. It was great, I never had to leave for lunch

I was over that when I saw it on Craigslist last week...... I had a 53 Coupe in '67. Perfect shape.... ran the shit outta it. (poor thang! ) Put 54 tail lites on & shaved the hood. Got it for $100
