Looks cool. Vacuum advance was becoming extinct.

I had one on my Baywindow over in Germany. They now have an option that will work with D-jet. It worked great for me. The timing was rock solid even compared to a rebuilt distributor.

I bought one from Leen Apk in the Netherlands, total cost about $330.00 US. Haven't installed it yet. It is a nicely machined piece of equipment, and 914 specific. There are two separate curves, set with a small screw driver. (Well, actually 16 different curves, but two for the 914). Other than the shaft there are no moving parts. Electronic points and electronic trigger points.

For $330.00, I got a new dizzy, new electronic points, new trigger points, a cap and rotor button.

There are two wires for the FI, and I don't which side each goes to. I'm going to put it in in the spring and swap the wires back and forth and see if there is any difference. Apparently the center ground is not needed.

And there is an earlier thread on this somewhere.
