That's not a problem with 914s as most of them are sitting engineless on a rotisserie with rust repair

I'm trying to imagine a situation where this would be an issue on a car unless you're welding on the snout of a crank and grounding on the engine block or welding a hub and grounding on the chassis.
Just as good praactice I'm always very careful to ground as close as possible to the weld on assembled cars to avoid any possible unintentional ground paths.

An oilite bearing would quality as stationary.
