I would like to remove my dashpad top? 74 2.0
does 914world have a thread with how to's for this?
if not has anyone done it? if not any tips?

There are quite a few threads concerning this. It isn't all that fun to do, but once you've done one, it's not all that hard.

Once the dash top is off (lots o' existing threads on this), the dash frame itself can be removed by unbolting the 2 screws on each "door" side. There's also a bolt connecting an extension of the dash to the frame under the steering column. And the 4 nuts under the cowl. To access those cowl nuts you need to remove the plastic defrost/vent pieces and contort your arm with a small ratchet. Easier if the gas tank is out...but totally doable with it in.
