I had some NOS 52mm VDO gauges and figured it was time to play. I wanted a different but informative set of console gauges. You can open up the stock console gauges and take the gauge part out. Take the 52mm gauge part and drop it in the place of the larger gauge. Drop the 60mm stock ring on the outside, then drop the 52mm ring inside of it. Put glass and 60mm trim ring back on. Your done.

I cleaned the rings up for chrome look but they were pitted and will need replacement at NHS.

What do you think?

I've always liked the simplicity of VDO gauges of that era. With that said, however, I would prefer to have some digits associated with the temp gauge, perhaps to match the volt meter...

But neither here no there, I will say you do nice work!

What do you think?

I would totally do this (and I might) in the flared car. Nice work!

I have a spare pressure and temp gauge if any one is interested.
