Hi All,
Engine is 99% for reinstallation. All tins, heat exchangers, heat pipes, etc are installed.
I'd like to remove and replace the alternator. I know, should have thought of this before...
Haynes manual has an R&R process that assumes engine is installed in the car.
What is the minimum of surrounding parts that I will need to remove to get the alternator?

Not bad at all. Maybe 15 minutes of disassembly. If memory serves...Front tin, left side tin, fan housing (I think only the front half). It's pretty obvious one you start.

Jtube underneath alternator needs to be removed.
Then, remove alternator from below, as designed.

Thanks guys. Here is the way it worked for me in case anyone searches for this in the future. Removed J tube and heater valve along with the pipe it's attached to.
Removed front tin. Removed alternator bolt on bottom. Removed top hex bolt. Pulled alternator and its tin out from front.
