i think they make slip on covers so cars look period correct instead of high tech, window dressing. do you have a rain tray? keep the spray away from the 2 small, side grills that flank the engine lid as much as you can.

It's sealed Gel Cell....who cares if it gets wet...?

I thought that was the whole purpose of installing one. Never have to worry about getting wet and leaking down into the engine bay.
