Well, it has been almost a year since it was put on the rotisserie and although it looks a bit different now, it if finally rolling again!!!

Here is a quick update of the progress so far on my 912 Type-4 Turbo Project. My plan is to have it running by this summer before the little one (my first son) comes along. Many thanks to Brad who has helped me sort out the suspension details and get my motivation going again.

'87 Carrera Front Suspension powdercoated and installed with Mueller's rollerbearing set-up. I still need to rebuild the brakes:

The baby is due in the middle of June.

As for the intercooler, it will be mounted 930 style right above the fan shroud. Marty Stagg's in LA will get the car next week so that he can finish up the intake and exhaust system. It will have a single throttle body mounted in the center and the turbo will be mounted 930 style behind the engine. It will be bitch'in.

It was a busy weekend, but the car is now ready to take to LA and get fitted for the custom turbo header, intake system, and intercooler. I was able to get all the 3/8" stainless steel fuel lines ran through the car and Brad and I hung all the body panels and installed the Koni adjustables. It is getting there.

Lookin' good. Who did the paint?

Oh, and would it have been better to have the guy in LA do all his stuff before painting it, (like on American Hot Rod) or was that not an issue / option?
Britain Smith
The exhaust and intake are just about completed, he just need the car to get the placement of the intercooler and exhaust pipe correct so that it doen not hit anything. It would be just like the American Hotrod guys installing the custom exhaust.
