When I turn the key on it tops out just above 5 and stays there until I turn the key off. What's troubling about this is my primary mechanic was fixing some botched wiring by my secondary mechanic. My primary is truly a German car specialist and loves the 914 (go figure). I'm pretty confident in his work. He put an '82 3.0 in my 1976 911 and it was a thing of beauty. He's not perfect, but certainly talented.
This is why I'm on to the forum. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem with the Druck pressure gauge.
Thank you for your advice. Dan

Actually, is it reading at 5, or is the gauge pegged at the top (which is probably above 5)? Does it do this only when the engine is running, or even when the key is on (engine not running)?
