biggrin.gif I am going to post this on my other thread also--just wanted to get max exposure for those that are scratching their heads on how to mount the racing buckets--

As you can see from the pics--the sport seat mounts are wider than the original 914 mounts.

So after I made my new mounts to adapt the sliders which came with the seats--I simply made a cross bar of flat steel, measured, albeit roughly, and then bolted them into the original 914 pan mounts---

This set up gives me to proper ride height for my frame--the box tube is 1X1 inch. The pass side is going to be 3/4 inch higher than my side. I am not using the original pan mounts--For my size I could, but I like that little extra headroom.

All mounted and ready to go--I have got 50% of my interior done today--from nothing in it at all, to the point you see here, including making the mounts, and a few runs to the store to get other things, I would be done today with it were it not for the fact of me having to stop.

Right now I am beat--going to go beer.gif

cool, thats pretty much what i was thinking of doing exactly. WHat did you mount the front to, bolt all the way through or weld in a nut or something?
