A few days back I was having difficulty working the bleeder screws on the front. I tried to find a thin bodied 8mm box wrench but nothing locally. So tonight I took a socket and drilled a hole in the side so I could twist it and drilled out most of the insides so my plastic tube had room to expand around the bleeder nipple.

Two words.

Speed bleeders.

I made a new tool for taking the covers off the light assemblies (to get the inside screw next to the turn signal bump.

The little ball holds it in the wrench nicely.

They are speed bleeders. That's why I don't have room for a wrench

Necessity is the Mother...

It always feels good to overcome the mechanical obstacles that seem to crop up in every 'simple' job.

So other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how'd you like the Speed Bleeders?

Never thought I'd see a masonry bit used on a 914

Clever but that tool is already available with a ratcheting handle. I use mine to do the same thing.
