Why did you cut a hole in the back? idea.gif Do you want to see the fan prop running every time or do you want to hear the clear sound better?
I think you will not get such a huge advantage for a better service.

You must be joking ....right,really a belt change is a HUGE task without this opening, timing and distributor work is even harder without it.
Now setting the valves tell me why the opening isn't required, really your comment is rubbish.
Anyway welcome.png to the OP and great work, great start to what will be a great car, your brake choose is a good one I have these front and rear on my car with 19mm ATE master cylinder ,stops really well with great pedal feel.
Good luck and beerchug.gif .

Welcome...I am late to this party! You are doing this to a real 6???? I love it - like your style! Have you posted this in the "Originality" forum yet - they would dig it - especially PG.

Assuming this is destined for the track, correct?

Again, welcome to the World!

Erwan - I think you are holding back on us...the car has probably already done laps! Bleeding off pics of a finished car...seriously, what actual stage is the car in currently? Is it just in paint? shades.gif

I also noticed no cage/reinforcements in either the front and rear compartments - suspension pickup points. Is this just something you do not believe is necessary or will a bolt-in system be added later? Just curious...

PS: I like the GREEN too! beerchug.gif

Yes. What I'm guessing is you can't do a conversion car - 4 to 6 - but you can swap a larger 6 in a real 914-6 vin car.

No suby, chevy, rotary swaps in France.

"No suby, chevy, rotary swaps in France"
I guess Irwan has the same strict rules as we have in Holland.
we cannot 'create' a 6.

I can kind of understand total different engine type swaps (V8, sub etc) as because, (don't get shouty guys) well, its a bitsa car and no base line to compare it against from a build and emissions perspective. But surey those concerns could also be overcome with a proper inspection regime?

I don't understand the logic it when there was type approval for a factory car running a six engine and you have created a factory / type replica, that really sucks and makes no sense to me

I guess the only way around it would be to import a six conversion. Then for all intents and purposes it was always a six?

Love the colour drooley.gif

In France, any change of engine by a bigger one is prohibited.I mount a 3.0 sc, I assume the risks
Cracker
...as in, they won't "know" the difference! I'd say that is a safe, calculated risk!

I agree calculated risk and very unlikely to be figured out, apart from the fact that we all know..... but then 914 World members are good at keeping secrets hide.gif

Still confused, why not hot the sh#t out of the original motor and make it a steath short stroke screamer ,the larger 3.0 litre will certainly cause you issues as you said.
Perhaps stuff lost in the language barrier,I don't know ?,we have very similar rules here and I'am in the position of having to convince the authorities mine is a stock 2.2T motor because we are only allowed to increase horsepower by 25% without another certification....I will lose that battle.
Anyway love this build and enjoying progress beerchug.gif

In France it is forbidden to modify a car.

But I do not like an original 914/6 porsche. I like them prepared, with a big motor.

And then I roll very can on the road with.
