I’ve had a drastic change in my personal circumstances that is forcing the sale of my beloved project. I have put close to $50,000 into this build over the last 4 years. I need to sell it quickly, so I’ve got to heavily discount it for sale.

Full 40+ page description of the project can be found here:

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=217421

Feel free to PM me any/all questions. Please leave Scott out of this. He’s as heartbroken about my need to sell it as I am.

Billet front upper shock mounts
911 e-brake.
Too many other little things I know I’m forgetting.

OTHER STUFF:
The car and many of the parts are in Dayton Ohio YOU HAVE TO MAKEYOU’RE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS TO GET IT.
There’s a brand-new windshield in Cleveland Ohio. You’ll need to come get it.
The front and rear fiberglass bumpers are in Cleveland Ohio, You’ll need to come get them. (I also have a bunch of other stuff in Cleveland you're welcome to.)

THIS CAR IS SOLD WITH NO INTERIOR. I’d had a custom interior planned, but never got further than having the seats re-covered.

THIS CAR IS NOT FINISHED. That’s why I’m offering it for less than 50% of what I have into it. This is one hell of a deal for someone that’s willing to finish it off. Scott was working on it for me, but my circumstances drastically changed in the last month, and I need to sell the car quickly.

Scott has done an amazing job in the time he’s had it, and has put his own blood/sweat into the car. I’ve been paying him, and will continue to pay him for the labor he’s put into it thus far. If he’d be willing to put more into it, that’s between you and Scott.

Selling as-is, where-is for $20,000.

This is indeed sad news. I know how much this project meant to you. I feel, as I'm sure Chris H. does, that we've lost one of the Musketeers'. May your future show promise and be filled with blessings, Doug. Kent

Thanks Kent. I'm still going to check in periodically to see how things are going, but this is a decision that I didn't take lightly, and was trying like hell to avoid.

Trust me when I say that if there was a way to avoid selling it, I'd have taken it.

Sorry Doug, I thought this car was in the final stretch with a Scott finishing it up.

What are the big chunks of work left to do?
914forme
Scott would be the guy to answer that question. And that is a steal of a deal.

The car IS in the final stretch. Scott thinks he can get it started in a couple of weeks. That was partially dependent on me getting awn to his place to help with the electrical. That looks like it's not possible logistically for me in the next month or two.

Scott is buttoning up the intake (as you can see from the pics) and a few other pieces before he puts things back together. The Electrics on the motor is the final piece of the puzzle. (New fuel lines from the tank to the motor is another piece that needs done/purchased.) Other than that, it's a lot of interior things, body seals, windshield, an alignment and you'l need to buy new tires after you're done doing doughnuts on the ones that are on the rims now. (They're winter tires.)

Sorry to hear that Doug - I know you've been trying to keep your project going for a couple of years and have got lots more than blood, sweat, and tears into it. I'm stealing lots of ideas from it and I'm sad to see it go.
Someone buy this great project and see it through for this price!

So incredibly excited to pick up the torch and get ol' Grey on the road. Thanks Doug & Scott. This will always be Doug's car - I'm just adopting it for a while.

Watch the original build thread for progress - I may need help with misc parts.
