Paddock neighbor, Ron Mistaks' radical racecar. 3.6 and a Hewland box. Yes, it started life as a 914.

A GT-5 class car that was there.

The start of the Blue race group.

GT-3 S race 1 winner. I came in second, but I won (GT3-S class) in race 2. That's all I have but Vegas Racer was there and maybe he has some pics to post.

That has to be the ugliest wing on any 914. What is with those end plates? Cut from pizza pans? ohmy.gif

It was great to meet you Steve, and see your sweet car up close.
Congratulations on the Class win. smilie_pokal.gif
Sorry I had to leave early for work on Sunday and could not be there to watch.
I saw you did some on track customizing to your front air dam.
What happened?

The #44 is a Vegas guy named Bob Mohan.
He was fighting transmission problems all weekend.
Was he ever able to get 3rd gear working?

Thanks,

Yes, I was pushing my (and the car's) limits and had an off in turn 6. The runoff is not very smooth and I weakened the bottom of the front air dam. Then on Sunday morning qualifying I just had to try and follow a Cup car through turn 11 and found that I don't have as much stick as a Cup car running slicks and a big wing. So I had another off over the gators which ripped the weakened center out of my air dam. I will either fab something in aluminum or replace the nose piece. Oh well, that's racing.
